Just like the durian, a jackfruit or nangka, is a fruit with a thick outer layer which protects the yellow sweet goodness inside. The fruit is wildly popular among the vegan community these days as the sweet flesh can be a meat substitute for pulled pork and tacos, just to name a few.

However, the best way to consume jackfruit is to eat it fresh. However, getting to the sweet flesh is a bit of a problem because of the thick skin. To rapper Cardi B, this slight obstacle did not stop her from getting to the yellow goodness inside as she has shown in her recent Instagram video.

From the video, Cardi B revealed that they have left the fruit under the sun because they really want it to be sweet and she decided to throw the fruit on the floor in hopes of cracking the fruit open. As we know, the jackfruit can withstand drops from its tree. Hence Cardi B had to drop the fruit twice before she managed to crack it.

She then decided to go to the kitchen instead to cut the fruit open with a knife. She admitted that she was cutting the fruit wrongly but as long as she can enjoy the sweet flesh at the end, who are we to complain about it, right?
