Tom Hiddleston: ‘Taylor Swift and I really loved each other’

The British actor fondly recalled his love affair with the American singer in his latest interview.

When Tom Hiddleston appeared in GQ magazine in February, the actor once again affirmed that his 3-month summer love story with Taylor Swift was not a PR trick to attract attention as many people suspected. ‘Of course that love was real’ – Tom explained – ‘Taylor is a wonderful girl. She is very generous, kind and lovely. We had a very happy time.’

Tom and Taylor hug each other watching the sunset on the beach on June 15, 2016.

When asked about the strange tank top with the words ‘I ❤︎ TS’ printed on it that Tom Hiddleston wore when going to the beach with Taylor, the Thor actor revealed that he did not do any tricks at all, but simply just because it was the only shirt he had at that time: ‘In fact, it was the 4th of July – a holiday and we participated in a game that caused me to slip and hurt my back. I wanted to protect bruises from the sun so I borrowed a T-shirt from everyone. One of her friends immediately gave that shirt to me. We laughed a lot about it. It was just like a group of friends having fun. ‘.

‘Loki’ was once satirized by many people for wearing a tank top with the words ‘I love Taylor Swift’ printed on it.

Tom Hiddleston and Taylor first met at the Vogue editor-in-chief’s house on May 1, 2016 and the two stars almost fell in love that evening. The next night, he and she danced hotly at the Met Gala party. In mid-June, when Taylor had just broken up with Calvin Harris for 2 weeks, the singer and Tom passionately hugged and kissed at her mansion in Rhode Island. They began their romantic dates, going to England, Italy and Australia together. Then, the ‘love whirlwind’ soon died down at the end of August, when the couple returned to work and many conflicts arose. However, unlike Taylor’s previous lovers who said bitter things when they broke up, Tom always had sweet things to say about the Shake It Off singer.
